Ryan Whyte Maloney, a contestant from Season 6 of The Voice, has tragically passed away at the age of 44. According to the Clark County Coroner, his death was a suicide, as confirmed to People magazine.

Whyte Maloney gained national attention during his audition on The Voice in 2014, where he impressed all four coaches — Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira, and Usher — with his performance of Journey's "Lights," accompanied by his own guitar playing. He ultimately chose Blake Shelton as his coach. In the Battle Rounds, he stood out with his rendition of Rascal Flatts' "Easy." Although Whyte Maloney was eliminated before the live shows during the Season 6 Playoffs, he made a memorable return during the season finale, performing "Summertime" by Kenny Chesney alongside other contestants, including future country star Morgan Wallen.

After his time on The Voice, Whyte Maloney continued to pursue a career in music, performing regularly and recording songs. He also had a gig at Blake Shelton’s Las Vegas venue, Ole Red, where he performed for fans. His passing is a heartbreaking loss to those who knew him and to his fans.
