Doug III is at the Horton home, counting the money from selling Alice Horton’s diamond necklace, but it’s still not enough to pay off his debts. Holly stops by and mentions her boyfriend has bigger problems than their plans to attend the concert. Doug offers to talk, and Holly confides that Tate’s ex-girlfriend, Sophia, is pregnant. She shares the plan Tate and Sophia have devised, admitting the news is overwhelming and believes it will change everything between her and Tate. To cheer her up, Doug suggests they skip the concert and spend time together instead. Holly agrees.
Paulina informs EJ that she’s replacing the district attorney, revealing it was Jada’s idea. EJ demands an explanation, but Paulina accuses him of neglecting his duties and using his office for personal matters. She fires him and refuses to disclose his replacement, saying he’ll find out at the press conference. Furious, EJ confronts Jada, accusing her of manipulating Paulina. After threatening her, EJ storms out. Jada is uneasy, but Paulina reassures her that EJ will move on.
At the DiMera household, Rafe is shocked to see Arnold, who looks identical to him. Rafe believed Arnold had died, but Arnold reveals his death was faked by EJ and his father. When Rafe tries to call the police, Arnold knocks him out, unwilling to return to jail. EJ arrives and is furious when Arnold admits to meeting Jada at the Brady Pub after incapacitating Rafe. EJ insists they clean up the mess together.
At the Brady Pub, Ava and Brady meet. Ava shows him another cryptic text, but Brady dismisses it, believing Kristen wouldn’t act so recklessly. Ava shares that she hired Steve, who discovered the texts originate from an estate, but the conversation shifts to Tate. Ava recounts her encounter with Amy and Sophia, revealing Sophia’s pregnancy. Brady reflects on how this will change Soohia and Tate’s life and questions Sophia’s intentions now that she is pregnant, but Ava explains she didn’t have a chance to find out. Brady rushes off to speak with Tate.
At the Black household, Sophia tells Tate their planned procedure won’t happen because of her mother, Amy, who arrives and takes control of the situation. Amy, a staunch pro-life advocate, forbids an abortion and insists Sophia will have the baby, raising it with Tate. To their shock, Amy demands they get married, saying she’ll start planning immediately. After Amy and Sophia leave, Tate is left reeling, unsure how to break the news to Holy.
Later, Brady confronts Tate, asking him to share what’s going on. Tate hesitates but knows Brady already suspects the truth. Brady says he does but wants the truth from him.
At the Pub, Arnold, impersonating Rafe, meets Jada to discuss her big news. Jada grows suspicious when she notices he’s changed his clothes.
